StandardAero, the world’s largest independent Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PT6A Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) with Distribution rights, is this year celebrating the second anniversary of its selection by Daher as the PT6A engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services provider for TBM very fast turboprop aircraft based in Europe.
Following an extended selection process, StandardAero was awarded a three-year contract by Daher in 2016 for PT6A MRO coverage made available to all European TBM customers. The contract includes engine support for the fleet of TBM 700 aircraft operated by the French Ministry of Defense and managed by Daher under a Full Operational Support agreement. The TBM family utilizes the P&WC PT6A-64 (TBM 700) and PT6A-66D (TBM 850, 900, 910 and 930) engine models, with the 900th TBM aircraft shipped in July.
“We are honored to have been entrusted by Daher as its PT6A engine MRO partner for TBM operators in Europe over the past two years,” said Peter Turner, President of StandardAero’s Airline & Fleets business unit. “As an authorized Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility, we are committed to raising the standard for PT6A engine customers worldwide, supporting operators of the fast-selling, fast-moving TBM turboprop with local support globally through our worldwide network of service locations.”
