hollywood at aero-dienst in nuremberg, germany

This Kingsley from Hollywood, California, has been part of the Avionics Department for 50 years. For many decades, it was used to provide all new cables involved in avionics installations for a wide range of aircraft types with a ‘wire identification number’.
It was taken out of service 13 years ago, and since then it has been an eye-catcher for historically minded visitors of the Aero-Dienst facility, Nuremberg.
For safety reasons, they now only use UV laser machines for labelling their NextGen Avionics upgrades such as KA-band, SatCom and ADSB-Out. They do not generate heat and operate at a faster rate.
