Piper Aircraft, Inc. is preparing to certify the Lycoming IO-360-B4M fuel-injected engine on its popular Archer trainer, the Archer TX, which has become the perfect gateway aircraft for fledgling pilots around the world. In addition, the company is also offering a diesel option providing customers with a third engine option for the currently piston-powered aircraft.

The multi-year agreement includes initial purchase of a new Skyhawk aircraft, product support, training and Kent State’s commitment to purchase new primary trainer aircraft solely from Textron Aviation to update its flight training fleet.

Cessna Aircraft Company announced at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture its high-performance Cessna TTx piston aircraft has received certifications from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as well as Argentina’s National Civil Aviation Administration and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.
