08/11/2016AIR BP AND BP VENTURES ANNOUNCE INVESTMENT OF $30M IN FULCRUM

BP announced the creation of a strategic partnership between its BP Ventures and Air BP businesses with Fulcrum BioEnergy, a pioneer in the development and production of low-carbon jet fuel, in which BP will invest $30 million. As an equity investor, BP has secured a 10 year offtake agreement with Fulcrum for 50 million US gallons per year, from their plants under development across North America.

Piper Aircraft, Inc. delivered the first of 100 new Piper Aircraft trainers to the University of North Dakota John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences, which placed the unprecedented order for 80 Archer TXs and 20 Piper Seminoles in April of this year.

04/11/2016JET AVIATION ST. LOUIS IS CERTIFIED AS A BRAZILIAN-APPROVED MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION

Jet Aviation at St. Louis has earned certification from the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) as an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) for aircraft registered in Brazil. The AMO certification by Brazil this month followed an on-site audit earlier this year by ANAC officials.

04/11/2016MTU MAINTENANCE ZHUHAI COMPLETES 2,000TH ENGINE SHOP VISIT

MTU Maintenance Zhuhai, a 50/50 joint venture between Germany’s leading engine manufacturer MTU Aero Engines and China Southern Air Holding Company,  has completed its 2,000th engine shop visit, a V2500-A5 owned by China Southern Airlines. The achievement will be celebrated in a small ceremony with representatives from both joint partners as well as employees.

Jet Aviation has added 11 aircraft to its managed fleet in the United States the past five months, and 9 to its fleet in EMEA & Asia. Of the 11 new aircraft in the US managed fleet, seven will be added to the US charter fleet.

03/11/2016JET AVIATION LAUNCHES NEW HANGAR PROJECT AT SELETAR AEROSPACE PARK

Jet Aviation recently held a hand-over ceremony to commemorate the launch of a third new hangar at its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and Fixed Base Operator (FBO) facility at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore. The project slated for completion in November 2017 will add 3,850 square meters of hangar space to the facility, as well as 380 square meters to the Interior Shop and additional space for equipment and storage.

FlightSafety International announced the addition of Master-Level Advanced Training courses for Beechcraft King Air, Cessna Citation, Dassault Falcon, Gulfstream, and Pilatus aircraft. The courses include Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training, Advanced Rejected Takeoff Go/No-Go, Advanced Crew Resource Management/Human Factors Line-Oriented Flight Training, and Advanced Energy Management.

Cessna Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today announced it has received an order for three Citation X+ midsize business jets from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) during NBAA’s Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Orlando, Florida. SEL has owned and operated a fleet of aircraft exclusively comprised of Citation business jets since 1999, purchasing its first Citation X in 2002.

The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) and Baldwin Aviation have been working together to offer the charter and business aviation industry an Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) that allows customers to combine the FAA/ACSF ASAP Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Baldwin Aviation’s data technology. Both ACSF and Baldwin Aviation are pleased to announce they have reached an agreement in principle. In the near future, Baldwin Aviation will offer ACSF members and ASAP participants an alternative to the web-based application tool (WBAT) program.
