Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc., announced today that it has entered into a letter of intent to become the majority owner of Brazilian flight support services provider Cavok Servicos Auxiliares de Transportes Aereos Ltda. (CAVOK) and expects to complete the transaction in the near future, subject to any required governmental approvals.
CAVOK was founded by Mauro Camargo in 2000 and provides Brazilian operators flight support services such as flight planning, obtaining permits, handling arrangements, fuel arrangements, hotel arrangements and more.
Camargo said the transaction will allow CAVOK to continue improving and offering more services to clients, now that the company has the global resources of Universal® behind it.
“We’ve earned our reputation for being Brazil’s premier provider of trip support services and that will not change with this purchase,” said Camargo. “CAVOK will still provide the same quality services our clients rely on, but we can now do so even better and on a global scale with Universal’s financial and global resources. With Universal’s support, we will be able to further strengthen our systems and processes, allowing us to provide trip support services to Brazilian operators traveling throughout South America and the world. There were many companies interested in partnering with us, but after our due diligence, I determined that Universal® best fit our customer-oriented culture and our clients’ needs.”
