Bell Helicopter and their affiliate company McTurbine, Inc. are pleased to announce that McTurbine has received authorization from Rolls-Royce to perform maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the Rolls-Royce Model 250 Series II and Series IV turbine engines. McTurbine received Federal Aviation Administration approval earlier this year.
“We are pleased to be teaming with Rolls-Royce and are honored to join the Model 250 FIRST networkTM,” said Mitch Smith, McTurbine’s interim general manager.
As a Rolls-Royce 250 Authorized Maintenance Center, McTurbine can now provide customers with engine and module maintenance, repair and overhaul services as well as component and accessory exchange services, field support, and warranty administration.
“McTurbine is known for its quality products, value to the customer, and integrity in all we do. We are committed to providing helicopter owners and operators with aircraft powered by the Rolls-Royce 250 engine that same level of support and service,” said Smith.
This expansion into the light helicopter turbine market is one part of a focused effort by Bell Helicopter and McTurbine to provide Bell Helicopter operators with a seamless support and service option.
Danny Maldonado, senior vice president customer support and chief services officer said, “With this added capability, we are one step closer toward our combined goal of supporting all Bell Helicopter platforms with industry-leading turbine engine maintenance, repair and overhaul services.”
McTurbine has over 20 years experience in the overhaul and repair of turbine engines with a long and successful history of providing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) authorized support for Honeywell T53 and T55 engines and accessories, and providing engine upgrades for the Bell Helicopter Huey II program. McTurbine has serviced more than 1,400 engines across an existing customer base of more than 300 operators worldwide.
