PIAGGIO SIGNS THEM UP AT PARIS

Susi Air and Piaggio Aero Industries announced today at the Paris Air Show the agreement for the first P.180 Avanti II delivered to Indonesia. Susi Air ordered one P.180 Avanti and signed and for 2 further options. The first P.180 Avanti II aircraft will join Susi Air existing fleet next week. 
Susi Air is a scheduled and charter airline based in Pangandaran, West Java, Indonesia. The company currently operates from 4 main bases across the Indonesian archipelago. Susi Air will provide also a Med Evac and sanitary transportation service. P.180 Avanti II will be equipped with an “Ambulance Kit,” that, through a quick reconfiguration, allows the aircraft to become an efficient air ambulance unit. The Avanti II provides outstanding accessibility for patient loading, and its large cabin offers a work-friendly environment for medical staff to gain.

“Indonesia still has strong economic growth and regional centers are becoming more important for business, requiring more travel by business and government in a country larger than Europe. From Jakarta the P.180 Avanti II can reach 90% of Indonesia’s population non-stop and even the longest distance of 3.800 km to the farthest islands can be flown with one quick fuel stop.” Mrs Pudjiastuti added.
Meanwhile, Piaggio also announced that the United Arab Emirates Air Force and Air Defense has selected the P180 Avanti II as part of its fleet expansion program, which includes the acquisition of two light, multi-utility aircraft. The decision follows an extensive evaluation process that took into consideration the characteristics and performance of several aircraft within the same class, as well as reliability, cost effectiveness and operational flexibility. Piaggio will also supply a complete Integrated Logistics Support package, including training for pilots and technicians.
