During this year’s JetExpo exhibition in Moscow, Jet Aviation announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vnukovo Invest, co-owner of Vnukovo International Airport, to form a joint venture in late 2008.
The joint venture will significantly expand Jet Aviation Vnukovo’s operation in 2009, when the company moves into a new 3,050 sq m (32,827 sq ft) maintenance hangar at a location close to the Moscow Vnukovo-3 FBO. The threefold increase in hangar space will allow Jet Aviation to expand its overall technical maintenance capabilities and to support other OEMs and their clients in the near future. This partnership will also allow Jet Aviation and Vnukovo Invest to better service local and transient customers in the fast growing Moscow market.
