CESSNA GRAND CARAVAN PERFECT FOR RUSSIA
Recently AVKOMD, the Business Aviation terminal located at Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport, received a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft. The presentation was held by Cessna Aircraft and Jet Transfer, Cessna’s official representative within Russia and Kazakhstan.
Jet Transfer’s Alexander Evdokimov and Sergei Filatov described the Grand Caravan as a modern and reliable aircraft “ideally suited to meet the demands of Russia”. It is estimated that the current need for aircrafts of this type in Russia is around 450 over the next two years, meaning the prospects of the Grand Caravan in the Russian market are promising.
The aircraft has Russian-type certification VS and the possibility of its acquisition are limited only by the production plans of Cessna Aircraft Company – as the company’s factories produce only 180 Grand Caravans per year. However, Russian representatives assure interested parties that any potential concerns regarding delivery can be resolved through the secondary market.
Maintenance of the Grand Caravan is planned to be carried out in Russia, with Cessna already prepared to open a service center within the country.
