AMIL TAKES DELIVERY OF ONE AW119 Ke AND ONE AW109 POWER

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, and Synergy Aerospace are pleased to announce that AMIL (Assistência Médica Internacional Ltda) of Brazil has taken delivery of one AW119 Ke single engine and one AW109 Power light twin engine helicopter.
The aircraft will be used to perform emergency medical service (EMS) and executive transport missions respectively. AMIL is a leading medical service provider in Brazil and the two AgustaWestland helicopters will be operated by Aeromil, a benchmark in aero-medical transportation in Latin America. This Brazilian company specializes in the transportation of critical patients and has dedicated medical units and teams prepared to carry out the most complex procedures in emergency cases.
The company draws on over 13 years of experience, attending an average of 350 cases with ground transportation and 80 by air each month, amounting to approximately 5,200 responses per year. AgustaWestland has experienced rapid success and increasing market share in Brazil in recent years with its commercial product range. Orders for over 100 AgustaWestland helicopters, from the entire commercial helicopter range, have been placed by customers in Brazil so far, particularly for VIP/corporate transport and offshore transport applications.
The AW119 Ke offers unmatched performance and capacity compared to any other helicopter in the single engine class. The outstanding payload/range and speed capability are beneficial to the EMS operator community and AMIL adds to a number of EMS operator who chose or are already operating the AW119 Ke for emergency medical services worldwide. Over 190 AW119 helicopters have been ordered to date in nearly 30 countries by almost 90 customers. The AW119 is perfectly suited to perform EMS, VIP/Corporate transport, offshore transport, law enforcement, utility, firefighting and various military applications.
The AW109 Power is a highly versatile twin engine helicopter that is used for a wide range of civil and government roles and offers the highest levels of performance with low operating costs. The aircraft is the market leader in the VIP/corporate transport market due to its speed, safety and comfort.
The AW109 Power can carry up to seven passengers and has a luxurious cabin separated from the cockpit as well as a large separate baggage compartment.
The AW109 Power is the most popular VIP/corporate helicopter in its class in Brazil. Nearly 470 helicopters have been ordered for both civil and government purposes from almost 50 countries. The AW109 Power range of roles also include VIP/corporate, law enforcement, maritime applications, harbour pilot shuttle, training. Synergy Aerospace, a division of Synergy Group, was appointed in 2006 as the AgustaWestland official distributor in Brazil for the entire AgustaWestland commercial product range. The distribution agreement was extended to include Colombia in 2008.
