The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) published proposed implementing rules for authority and organization requirements, including the corresponding acceptable means of compliance (AMC) and guidance material (GM). Following the Agency’s principles of broad consultation and transparency, interested persons worldwide now have the possibility to comment on this Notice of Proposed Amendment (NPA 2008-22) by using the Agency’s web-based Comment Response Tool. The comment period ends on 31 January 2009.

Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, recently became the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to receive approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for all of its aircraft equipped with the Gulfstream Enhanced Vision System (EVS) to obtain operational credit for continuing approaches to 100 feet.
