20/06/2017FSTC PURCHASES BOMBARDIER Q400 FLIGHT SIMULATOR FROM FlightSafety INT.

FlightSafety International has signed an agreement with Flight Simulation Technique Centre Pvt Ltd. (FSTC) for the purchase of a full flight simulator for the Bombardier Q400 aircraft. The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulator is scheduled to be installed at the FSTC training center in July 2018.

20/06/2017ROCKWELL COLLINS AND AIRBUS INTRODUCE FIRST ‘SELF-REPORTING’ FLIGHT TRACKING SOLUTION

In a continued effort to improve the ability to track aircraft globally, Rockwell Collins has teamed with Airbus to introduce a new Onboard Aircraft Tracking solution. The solution monitors aircraft information to detect and alert when abnormal flight situations occur and will come standard on the A350 WXB and A380 and as an option for A320, A330 and A340 aircraft.

Today, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) registered its enthusiastic support for a letter from more than 100 American business leaders – nearly all of whom are pilot-CEOs – to U.S. House and Senate leaders, stating their unified opposition to turning the nation’s air traffic control (ATC) system over to an entity governed by a private board of directors.

19/06/2017ARDIDEN 3G OBTAINS EASA TYPE CERTIFICATION

Safran Helicopter Engines has received EASA engine type certification for its Ardiden 3G engine, which powers Russian Helicopters’ Ka-62. The helicopter made its official maiden flight on 25 May 2017. Since its first ground test, the Ardiden 3 maturation and certification campaign has accumulated more than 8500 hours of test.
