Rockwell Collins recently participated in the successful completion of flight demonstrations to fly European Geostationary Navigation Overlay System (EGNOS) Localizer Performance with Vertical guidance (LPV) approaches in Europe. The company’s Flight Management System (FMS) system and GPS-4000S global positioning system receiver were on board an Air Nostrum operated Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft for the demonstration.

Gulfstream Aerospace broke ground for the second phase of its new Savannah Service Center. When completed by the third quarter of 2009, the overall service center will be the largest maintenance facility in the world built specifically for business jets.
