26/05/2016ROCKWELL COLLINS AWARDS JET AVIATION FOR DELIVERY OF 10 VIP AIRCRAFT

Rockwell Collins recognized Jet Aviation Basel for delivery of ten VIP aircraft equipped with its Venue™ cabin management and entertainment system during an award ceremony at EBACE 2016 in Geneva, Switzerland. Jet Aviation Basel has delivered five “green” completions, including an Airbus A340-600, A319, A320, BBJ and a BBJ2, and five Venue retrofits on a 747-400 and four BBJs. The award signifies the five-year-plus collaborative relationship between Jet Aviation and Rockwell Collins to install the state-of-the-art cabin system.

26/05/2016SATCOM DIRECT RECEIVES INITIAL STC FOR ITS LATEST HARDWARE INNOVATION

The initial supplemental type certificate (STC) was received from the FAA allowing installation of the SD WiFi Hub on Citation CJ3 aircraft. Additional STCs are in progress for the Hub, the standalone router and wi-fi solution for small to mid-size aircraft and enhancement to the Satcom Direct Router (SDR) for larger aircraft.  EBACE attendees can view product demonstrations at exhibit S115.

Cessna Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, celebrates Hahn Air’s addition of a Citation Sovereign at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva. Through an exclusively Citation operated fleet, Hahn Air provides domestic and international scheduled and charter flights from Germany.

RUAG Aviation has been named an Authorized Service Center (ASC) for the General Electric (GE) CF34-10E series engine. The expedited approval process began in February 2016, when GE approached RUAG Aviation with its requirements.

Bell Helicopter announced the sale of a Bell 407GXP to Sichuan Xiangyun General Aviation Co., Ltd. The aircraft will be outfitted for VIP transportation and helicopter tours.

26/05/2016AUSTRALIA’S CASA APPROVES RAISBECK'S SWEPT BLADE PROPELLERS FOR KING AIR 350S

The FAA STC for Raisbeck Engineering’s Swept Blade Turbofan Propellers for the King Air 350 has been officially accepted by Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). The request for the Acceptance was submitted to the CASA February 9, 2016; the official Letter of Acceptance was signed March 11, 2016.
